Hi :)
I'm a new member too.

We've had Mother's Day in the UK a few weeks ago. It is always just before Easter Sunday. That's because it is actually called Mothering Sunday, when everyone was supposed to go back and visit their mother church (i.e. the one where they were christened), and it was also a chance to see your family if you worked away from home. During the Second World War, the US soldiers based over here turned it into a day more like the one they celebrated back home, a celebration of mums!

And I kinda prefer it like that.
